Civilrights4all.com has
been lovingly dedicated to the
memory of Richard P. Spink, by his partner of 37 years
Stephen Rzewuski along with a group of concerned
citizens. This website continues Richard's legacy of
respect, compassion and the recognition of the common
bonds of humanity that unite us all.
This site was born of the need to discredit the calculated
campaign that seeks to spread deceitful, hateful and fear
inspiring comments about the gay community and to
provide the public with an accurate depiction of the
positive and proud aspects of all people, regardless of
their sexual orientation.
Our Mission Statement is to educate and promote equal
rights by replacing hatred and ignorance with compassion
and respect.
One of our goals is to inform the public of the injustice and
deceptive labeling that gays everywhere face. In
particular, we want to illustrate the last form of acceptable
discrimination-intolerance towards the gay community.
We advocate for same sex marriage and work towards
ensuring marriage equality for all couples. Another goal
is to illustrate the blatant inadequacies between civil
unions and domestic partnerships when compared to
the rights afforded to married couples. We strongly
support the separation of church and state, especially
to ensure that religious beliefs do not dictate our civil
laws.
It is our hope that we will provide a link to current, accurate
and fair reporting and to organizations that share our
fight for basic civil rights for all.
Richard's way
of life was
always lived through acts of
deliberate kindness & the belief
in creating & establishing good
human relations. He was a
great inspiration to many people
& continues to be for so long
as his ethics are remembered.
